At The Hit List, we provide public baseball statistics, leaderboards, team rankings, and recognition content. We are committed to protecting the privacy of youth athletes, parents, and coaches. Because our platform does not require public user accounts, we maintain a limited data footprint. This policy explains what data we process and how parents or legal guardians can manage a child’s information.
1. Information We Collect
We strictly limit collection to sports-performance information needed to operate the recognition program. The public submission process does not require a player or family account, password, or registration.
- Athletic Data: Player name, team name, age group, and baseball performance statistics.
- Source Files: CSV files exported from GameChanger and uploaded by authorized coaches or team representatives.
- Administrative and Ring Information: Contact and shipping details may be collected from an adult parent or guardian only when a valid private ring claim code is used. This information is not displayed publicly.
- Prohibited Data: General statistics uploads must not contain home addresses, phone numbers, personal email addresses, school names, or exact birthdates. Our upload system is designed to reject files that appear to contain this information.
2. Third-Party Data and GameChanger
The Hit List is an independent platform and is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with GameChanger unless a future written partnership states otherwise.
- Coaches and team representatives uploading statistics certify that they are authorized to do so and have obtained all necessary parental or guardian permissions.
- Submitters are responsible for using appropriate team privacy settings and for ensuring that the exported file contains only permitted sports information.
- GameChanger remains the source platform for the submitted statistics. The Hit List uses the submitted data only for its recognition programs and related administration.
3. How We Use Information
Submitted athletic data may be used to create and operate:
- Interactive player and team leaderboards.
- Year-to-Date leaderboards that combine eligible statistics from January through the selected month.
- Monthly Top 50 rankings by age group.
- Barrel of the Week recognition.
- Ring Program point tracking and eligibility.
- Social-media recognition graphics, promotional highlights, tables, and digital banners.
4. Children’s Privacy
The Hit List is designed to follow child-privacy principles applicable to a youth sports recognition platform. We do not knowingly collect personal contact information directly from children under 13. We rely on authorized coaches and team representatives to confirm that necessary parental or guardian permission has been obtained before a child’s name and sports statistics are submitted for public display.
Children should not submit files, contact information, ring requests, or any other data directly to The Hit List.
5. Parental Rights and Takedown Policy
A parent or legal guardian may request that a player be excluded from one or more future public recognition programs operated by The Hit List. Approved restrictions may prevent future appearances on the YTD Leaderboard, Monthly Top 50 graphics, or Barrel of the Week recognition.
Removal requests apply to future public recognition only. Approval does not require The Hit List to edit, recreate, replace, or remove graphics and social-media posts that were generated or published before the request was approved. Previously published content may also remain available through shares, screenshots, downloads, reposts, or third-party social-media archives.
To submit a request, complete the Player Removal Request Form. The form collects the player, team, age group, coach, and requested future restrictions so an administrator can locate the correct record and review the request.

Approved restrictions may affect future recognition eligibility and future Ring Program points. Requests are reviewed by an administrator and are not guaranteed to be approved.
6. Data Sharing and Retention
The Hit List does not sell or rent youth-player data. Public athletic information may be displayed through our website and official recognition graphics. Private adult contact or shipping information is used only for administration, verification, communication, and ring fulfillment.
We retain submissions and administrative records only as long as reasonably needed to operate leaderboards, maintain recognition history, resolve disputes, fulfill ring requests, meet legal obligations, and maintain backups. Removal requests are applied to active publication systems and future generated content.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including restricted administrative routes, server-side authentication, file-type and file-size controls, sensitive-data screening for statistics uploads, security headers, and backups. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so submitters must review every CSV before uploading it.
