What Is The YTD Leaderboard?

The YTD, or Year-To-Date, Leaderboard shows how participating players have performed across the season—not just during one weekend or one month. It combines eligible submitted statistics from January through the month selected on the leaderboard.

How It Works

  1. Teams submit official stats.Coaches upload original GameChanger CSV exports for participating weekends.
  2. Stats are organized by player and age division.Only submitted and enabled team data is included.
  3. Season totals are combined.Eligible results from January through the selected month are aggregated.
  4. HLS is calculated.The same published Hit List Score formula is applied consistently.
  5. Players are ranked.The leaderboard orders players by their calculated YTD HLS within their age division.

What The Ranking Means

A YTD position reflects a player's production per plate appearance across the submitted portion of the season. It is designed to reward consistent offensive impact rather than only counting total hits or total games played.

The leaderboard can change whenever new qualifying statistics are submitted, corrected, approved, or added for a later month.

Important: The YTD Leaderboard includes only statistics submitted to The Hit List. It is not a complete statewide database of every travel baseball game.

Why Rankings Move

  • New team statistics are submitted.
  • A player adds more plate appearances and production.
  • Previously submitted information is corrected.
  • The selected leaderboard month changes.
  • An admin enables or disables a team submission after review.

Fairness & Corrections

All players are measured using the same formula. Rankings are generated from the data provided by participating teams and may be reviewed when a coach or parent reports an error.

Corrections do not guarantee a particular ranking; they ensure the leaderboard reflects the approved statistics as accurately as possible.

Request Player Removal or Anonymization

A parent or legal guardian may request that a player be removed from one or more public recognition areas. Submit the details below so The Hit List can locate the correct player record. Requests are reviewed by an administrator.
